This bubble bar does not smell like what i was expecting a lush product to smell like. I recieved this for my birthday and it was my first lush bubble bar. I was so excited, the smell was kind of dissappointinh, i was expecting more a of big smell but it was faint. It does, however, make tons and tons of bubbles (esp. in a tea strainer) It was good, but I don't think i would rebuy this for its smell or looks...maybe for the bubbles

This bar is beautifully decorated (I would even give this as a small present to a friend!) and it smells amazing in the bath. I picked up 2 and used them up very quickly, I'm probably going to go buy more! It's a very soft, silky, kind of orange flower kind of feel and smell. Unfortunately the one down-side is the somewhat short lasting bubbles. Although, still one of the better bubble bars at LUSH.

It was my friends birthday so I told her I'd give her THE LUSH EXPERIENCE. First thing first, she had to pick out a bubble bar to take a bath. I crumbled the bar for her, till the bubbles started rising. I gave her the little happy birthday sign. Although the bubbles were big, there was no scent or any type of oils that would make this bath (besides the smoothie, and Buffy) different than using Mr. Bubbles. The bubbles didn't last that long so she wanted to start her shower right away. As a Lush addict I know the most enjoyable time is when the whole bar is dissolved and you soak in the goodness. But the birthday bar isn't as effective as the other bars.

I received this for free at my local retro lush b-day party today and couldn't wait to take a bath! I was so surprised with the amount of bubbles it produced! Half this bar would have been more than enough but I used the whole bar for the fun of it! The water was SO soft and the bubbles where amazing! The scent didn't smell like oranges or anything like that but it did smell floral. Very good product. Would buy again.

I don't have a Lush store closer than 6 hours away, so I have to trust descriptions on products. I was honestly convinced that I probably wouldn't like this, but maybe my hubby would like it and share some tub time with me. Much to my surprise when I opened the box and took that first amazing breath you get with Lush mail order I couldn't stop sniffing! It smells amazing! I would NOT describe it as a food type smell. It's more flowery and perfume like than food. It's feminine but not overly girly or sweet. It's just this beautiful scent of orange blossoms, with maybe a hint of something that evokes a powder sort of thought. Wrapped up with it's pretty little ribbon and cute little cut out 'happy birthday" tag, it makes me grin every time i open it. It really is it's own little gift every time. I keep extra bars of this every where, in the bathroom, the linen closet, my delicates drawer...every where I want a soft pretty scent. This is also one of the scents I'd recommend for gifting for someone who's never had Lush before. I think it's a very good introduction. It was certainly a nice surprise for me!

Happy Birthday smell instantly to me like orange blossoms, I let it perfume my bathroom for a few days before using it. Half a bar yielded a tub full of soft bubbles, and they smelled amazing, almost like taking a bath in an orange creamsicle. Great combo of sweet, citrus and vanilla. Go LUSH!

So----bought this because I thought it would be neat to add to my Lush collection. While a 1/4th of it was plenty of bubbles (impressive I thought), the smell was not that of cake. I LIKE sweeter/food smelling things...and while the smell was nice, it was milder------a perfect product to give for a birthday when you DON'T know what they like.

Nice---would give for a gift, but not my personal fav....that's what Big Blue is for!

I received this item as a birthday gift (imagine that!), and I was thrilled as I'm always up for Lush products. I used the whole thing for one bath, and I felt that was the proper amount. I can't imagine that using half of it would have been entirely effective, but it might be worth a try. The moisturizing factor was excellent and the bubbles were long lasting, but the scent was really kind of faint, nondescript, and uninspiring. To my surprise, when I finally got around to looking it up and reading the product description, I was doubly disappointed to see what the scent was supposed to be. I think it smells generically floral with perhaps a few faint notes of citrus and vanilla, but they are entirely overpowered by floral scents.

The bar was just fine, and while I did enjoy the bath, I've experienced better from Lush.

I did review this before using it, because the smell- though faint- was both so unpleasant AND so not-as-described that I wanted to get word to Lush and fellow Lushies. I realize now the overwhelming note I get is marigold/tagetes; my mother made bug spray from this plant, hence the icky association with cleaning products. HOWEVER- when I used for my 2 yo's bath, I was amazed that it crumbled so easily and made mountains of the softest, longest-lasting bubbles I've ever gotten from a BBS. Little boy was in the tub over an hour playing with them! The "off" smell was there if I stuck my nose right in, but I'm sure if cocktailed w/ something stronger it would be all but unnoticeable.
