Sakura Bath Bomb

Float on a bed of flowers.

Mimosa absolute

Mimosa flowers yield the intense, floral fragrance of mimosa absolute. The smell makes you think of springtime.

Fragrance in bloom.

Like the blossom in a Tokyo park on a spring afternoon. The Sakura Bath Bomb is perfumed with mimosa and jasmine to give you the joyful feeling of springtime, whenever you need it. Noriko, one of our product inventors, hails from Japan, and this Bath Bomb represents what it's like to be in a park while the breeze blows through the blossoms in the trees.

I left my heart in Tokyo.

When the blossom bursts forth in late spring, it's the tradition to take a picnic and a bottle of sake to the park and enjoy its beauty, while getting slowly sozzled. Or you could have a bath instead.

Fine sea salt

The fine sea salt is used to decorate Sakura, creating a striking visual effect.

Ok, so when I first heard about Lush, all I heard about were the bath bombs. Eh, I thought, whatever. So I tried a good many Lush products and didn't waste my time with bath bombs. How good could they be? I mean, you drop them in the bath, they fizz, you soak, and that's it. Why waste the money?

Oh, how wrong I was.

I finally bought a Sakura bath bomb for my birthday (as well as a bunch of soaps and other products) and saved the bath bomb. I put it in my top drawer, so the wonderful scent would perfume my underthings. Worked great, but I still kept holding off on using it.

Then I finally took the plunge. And OH MY GOODNESS... the bath water was so soft, and perfectly scented, my skin was soft, I was amazed that something that fizzed away and floated around for only minutes could make for such an amazing bath. I soaked for nearly 20 minutes, enjoying the fragrance and the softness left behind. I need to have more of this, as soon as possible!

This bath bomb has totally won me over. No longer will I think of bath bombs as something that just fizz, look pretty, and are gone before you know
it. Oh no, this bath bomb is amazing and so much better than anything I'd imagined a bath bomb could be.

I'm hoping this was a dud. It smelled nothing like any other cherry blossom scented product I've ever gotten from other places, which I found absolutely heavenly. They say in their description that this is what THEY think it should smell like, so I'm not sure if that means they chose not to use the typical scent or what... Cherry blossom is possibly my favorite scent in the world, but I was very sad about this bomb.

I used it anyway, hoping it would smell all right in the bath. The smell stung my nose. It didn't do anything to my water, and my skin got red and splotchy like with bath products not from Lush (my skin is pretty sensitive). I didn't have any really bad reactions, it just wasn't anything good and I couldn't last longer than about 5min.

Comments about LUSH Sakura Bath Bomb:

Got this on my second trip to Lush. I had been spoiled by my bombs from my first trip. This was the worst ever. Didn't color the water. The smell was gone almost immediately. Huge disappointment.

Comments about LUSH Sakura Bath Bomb:

I am a big LUSH fan and usually stick with the same bath bombs, but this trip to LUSH I decided to try something new. The description of Sakura made me instantly want to buy it, but when I first used it I wasn't all that impressed. I put it in the bath expecting a good smell and a color change in the bath water, but all it did was fizz for a few minutes and leave no scent. It did leave my skin softer, and it provided for a relaxing bath, but it is not something I'll be buying again.

Comments about LUSH Sakura Bath Bomb:

This was my first ever Lush bath bomb and sadly I am really disappointed. It smelled really good in the store but really had very little smell in the tub. It also didnt change the water color or appearance much at all except make it a little cloudy. I just wish there was more to it. My skin felt softer afterward and there was a faint smell of sakura on my skin when I went to bed that night but it was gone the next morning. I will probably not buy Sakura again.

Okay, I put this in my bath and it made my water look milky but no interesting colors, I found the smell was just perfect, not to strong cuz I know some are over powerful. The thing I thought and probably everybody else thought was a down side was that it did not do much to the colour of the water but thats the only down side to it, part from that its a great bath bomb

I was dissapointed with this one. The fragrance was wonderful: sweet and floral, smelled like a beautiful Japansese garden and lasted on my skin. However, the bath bomb fizzed away in about 90 seconds and wasn't super moisturizering or colorful. A little of either would've bumped this one up a star.

I really wanted to love this one. It was so beautiful and in the store it looked amazing and the description sold me. It smelled yummy and I really liked it... until I put it in the bath. It was really disappointing. I wasn't expecting anything too colorful, but the smell went away instantly. I suppose if I'd combined it with a large bubble bar, it might have been promising, but I don't think I'll buy this one again.

Like the previous post, this was the very first bb & was what got me into Lush.
I was drawn into sakura by the smell especially when the SA demonstrated a sample for me of what it'd smell like in the bath. Lovely smell that lingers on my skin for a while and my bathroom for a couple of days.

This was one of the first products I purchased from Lush and it was too powerful a scent for me. The dry bomb itself smelled great but when put into warm water it became overpowering to me and it dried my skin out. I would decorate the bathroom with them though :)

Comments about LUSH Sakura Bath Bomb:

I wanted to love this bath bomb, I really did. I adore cherry blossoms, so I figured this would end up being one of my favorite bath bombs. However, it turned out to be...a bit anticlimactic. It fizzed away to nothing extremely quickly, it didn't turn the water a pretty color, and the fragrance was so subtle, I could barely smell it. My husband, who has come to expect quite a show from my bath bombs, was like, "That's it?" Additionally, while most of the other bath bombs leave my skin smelling great for hours afterward, this one did not. All in all, it was ok, but I probably won't be buying it again, as it's one of the more expensive ones--not enough bang for your buck.

This smelled great...in the store. After a few days in my room it started to smell really odd and not at all like cherry blossom anymore. When I used it, it put off this weird, almost-chemical smell that (luckily) disappeared not long after it stopped fizzing and turned the water in the tub a sad grayish color.
It did have a wonderful softening effect on my skin, but i expected so much more

The only things I didn't like is that it didn't fizz as much as it should had. And I also dislike the fact it was too light.

Comments about LUSH Sakura Bath Bomb:

I used this product with half of "You've Been Mangoed" and half of "Amandopondo". I really liked the combination. I was still able to smell Sakura even after I put all the products in together.

Hours after I got out of the bath, my skin was still left feeling silky soft. The scent isn't extremely strong. My only complaint is that I wish the smell lasted a little longer after the bath. I noticed the butter bar more as time went on after the shower.

If you're looking for a great bath addition that's just subtly scented and soothing. This product is for you. Your skin will love you for it.
