I bought this stuff to try out for shaving my legs because store brands tend to give me razor burns and bumps. Hubby freaked out when I told him how much I spent on it and told me I was a gimmick hoarder. Granted I do have a cabinet full of products that I have bought in the past and either didn't like or forgot I bought and I do tend to hoard, lol. Hubby ran out of shave cream one morning and had to use this - he absolutely loved it! He has a thick beard and tends to have the razor burn neck due to having to shave over a spot a few times to get all the hair. This stuff keeps his skin so soft and smooth and no more red neck or bumps! He has officially stolen this from me and uses nothing else. It is a little pricey but it also last so much longer then store bought stuff so it evens out in the end. Best purchase ever!

I tend to shave about every other day. I left it on my skin for the 3-5 minutes like it says and then shaved. It is amazing how smooth my face feels after each shave, and the lotion soaks in nicely so my face doesn't feel greasy at all. The only problem I have is that it clogs the razor pretty easily.

I love this shaving cream! I originally got a trial size of it and had to get the bigger pot immediately. This is the only cream that really protects against nicks and cuts! It does clog my razor (I use a men's razor because it gets a closer shave) but I've found if you let the warm water run between the blades while upside down for about 10 seconds it gets everything off. My legs feel so smooth and moisturized after using Prince. It's a bummer it's so pricey BUT! A little bit does go along way - I'm 5'10" and its all in my legs. I use about fingertip amount per leg and its plenty.

This shaving cream was a disappointment. I didn't smell much of a scent at all and it just clogged my razor. Save your money and use a bar of soap.

I love that this product moisturizes my legs and underarms so well. I never feel like I have razor burn. BUT (and this is a big one), it clogs up my razor like no other. Unless I change my razor after every other shave (which is expensive) I end up pressing too hard and am afraid that I'm going to cut myself. My boyfriend had also tried this a few years ago and he said that it clogged his razor and made his face break out.

I shave about every other day; I'll put a hot wash cloth on my face or dampen my face with hot water and then I apply about a teaspoon to where I want to shave. This product is not meant to lather; you just smooth it on like a face mask. Then I shave and it feels like I'm using orange-scented butter for shaving cream. My skin comes out looking clean, smelling great, and so soft it makes baby skin look rough. I have used it on other parts of my body and it is just as great there, though the effects are more noticeable to you when they are on your chin. The one problem is that it will clog your razor, but that is a small price to pay--believe me.

I used this to shave one leg and used my normal shave gel to shave the other leg. My brother and his wife couldn't really tell the difference between the shaves, and when pressed to choose which shin felt smoother, both picked the shave gel shaved leg. So my brother then tried on his face, using Prince on cheek and his normal stuff on the other cheek, and his wife and I again couldn't really tell the difference. Given the price, amount and smoothness with Prince, I won't be using this again. And it isn't so much about cost because I'm a sucker for Art of Shaving shave cream and brush.

Well, currently I'm clean shaven but usually scruffy/goatee/beard (new job!). Always had razor rash/burn/ingrown hairs along my throat until my girlfriend got me some prince for V-Day. It truly is amazing in every way except that it CLOGS the razor EVERY time! Im dealing with triple blade disposable bics or schiks or something but they normally last at least 3-4 shaves (I shave every other day). Judging by the 15 other cons Im guessing Im not alone. So, what is the best type of blade to use with the best type of shaving cream? What kinda blade do y'all shave with prince with?!

I BOUGHT THIS FOR MY BOYFRIEND WHO CONSTANTLY COMPLAINS HOW EVRY TIME HE SHAVES HE ALWAYS GETS RED BUMPS ON HIS NECK AND FACE...AFTER USING THIS PRODUCT HIS FACE WAS AS SMOOTH AS A BABYS BUTT..ND GLOWING!!!..ND I DNT THINK IT CLOGGED HIS RAZOR BUTTT..THE NEXT DAY HE GOT THE BUMPS ON HIS NECK ND FACE...IT SMELLS GREAT THOUGH..BUT IT IS TO GREASY FOR THE FACE...SO JUST USE IT FOR LEGS AND SUCH=))

This product has changed my life. Beforehand I suffered badly for irritated skin and ingrown hairs on my neck after shaving but now this is a thing of the past.

However, using it means I spend a fortune on razors as it clogs most modern men's 4/5 blade razors very easily and makes them worthless after a few uses. I do not apply excessively but I have found myself cleaning my razors with a cheap toothbrush.

I really wish Lush could resolve this problem as it would make an already great product absolutely perfect.

I grabbed a jar of this on a recent trip to NYC for my boyfriend, not wanting to come home empty-handed from a trip he was unable to make. AT first I was hesitant because of the orange smell, but he said it's the best cream/lotion he's ever used for shaving. He's only been using it for a few months, but says he'll "never switch."

After I got some of this stuff as a sample, I knew I had to get it properly. Absolutely nothing I used before left my legs as smooth and soft as Prince has. A little on the pricey side, but a little goes a long way and the way my legs look and feel make it totally worth it.

I'm a traditional "wet shaver" (double edge blade in old school razor, shaving brush and shaving soap)but I like to try new things too. A DE razor is a hard instrument to clog compared to a modern cartridge razor, but man if this stuff doesn't clog even a DE razor. Because it's oily, a rinse in water won't easily dislodge the hair. I found my skin to be well moisturized though greasy feeling leading to problems. If Lush starts making a true shaving SOAP designed to be used with a good shaving brush then I'm listening, otherwise they can keep this product. It smells nice though. I could only recommend this product to a man with dry skin who shaves with a straight razor.

My 16 yr old daughter took me into a Lush store & I discovered Prince. I shave with an old school double edge razor& found that this works great with Prince cream. I get a really close shave& it leaves my face feeling moisturized, smooth& smelling great. Highly recommended!

After purchasing this product, I was surprised to see so many negative reviews from female reviewers. A few years back, I switched away from the more common gel & foam shaving creams, to the natural, lotion-like shave creams. Prince is by far the of these I've found to date. It's moisturizing for my dry skin, and gives an incredibly close shave. I use a Schick Quattro for Women razor (4 blades), and have had no problems with clogging. I believe this is largely because of the amount of product I use. Unlike a foaming shave cream, you don't need gobs of this, a little goes a very long way. I use a slightly larger than dime-sized dollop for each of my legs (and at 5'11", that's alot of leg!). While you won't "see" it on the skin like you would with a traditional cream, it's there, doing its job (providing a protective barrier between your skin and the razor). I particularly like the smell, clean and not overpowering or overly strong, and it mixes well with my other bath products. Only con for some may be the price, but given the quality, and how little I use, I believe it's worth it.

It's absolutely fantastic, I've never ever had a shaving cream that worked so well in my entire life. After I shave my skin feels moisturized and healthy, unlike other brands that leave your skin feeling dry and damaged.

Skin so smooth after shaving, you hardly need a mosturizer. Best shave I have had in years! I now travel with 3.5oz so I don't need the mosturizer on trips. Very surpising how great this works.

Got this as a sample with my last in-store purchase. I was very disappointed. My razor kept getting cloged, and it did not lather at all (I want a good lather for my shaving). I loved the scent, it was great - but that was about the only great thing!

Out of all the LUSH shave products, this one smells the best. That was my first attraction. It's rather light, spreads very evenly, and a little goes a long way. I take a little in my hands, rub it on my legs (one at a time) and don't need to reapply. My razor glides over my legs without a problem. Not one nick or cut!

In the shower it feels like it might leave a residue, but it doesn't. By the time I'm out of the shower and dried off, my legs are ready for lotion!

I got a sample of this and was really excited to try it out on my legs. The good news: it did make my legs super smooth. The bad news: it totally and completely clogged my razor, it smelled a little unpleasant, it took me a long time to shave my legs and it left my hands and everything I touched super greasy. I did like the way my legs felt, but I would never use this product again. Might be better for guys to use on their face?
