A friend gave this to me to try since it is meant for dark hair like mine. I have used mud based natural shampoos before so I was not disappointed that it did not lather much, because mud cleansers work differently than lathery soaps. I would not use this without a conditioner afterward because it does leave the hair feeling rough. I LOVE the shiny curls and enhanced deep rich color of my hair after using just one time. I love the earthy spicy fragrance left on my hair all day. This solid shampoo is definitely for me will be ordering full bars once the two samples are gone which won't be for a few weeks I think. It seems to last and last. A great value.

I really like this product even with the downside of an incredibly strong scent. On the bright side, once you wash it off and follow it up with conditioner, the shampoo's scent goes away.

I got this shampoo specifically because I use henna to dye my hair and I feel this will compliment the dye well. The downside of it drying out my hair is counteracted by my solid conditioner - so it's totally worth it. It lathers really well and cleans great! Plus it brings shine to my hair, especially bringing out the red of my henna dye.

This product is iffy for me. I don't mind the smell (like a hemp bracelet) but my real problem is that I can't get it to lather at all. I have very thick hair and it takes quite awhile to lather enough to wash my whole head. Also I feel like my ends have been a bit drier since I started using this. It does however add shine and some color to the hair giving it a "glow". This is the first solid shampoo I have used and am not sold on them yet, but I am willing to try others. Overall its not a great shampoo but I think those with shorter or less thick hair would benefit more.

I bought this because I knew about the benefits of both Rhassoul mud and henna for the hair. And also because I liked the idea of smelling like a spice market.
I'm no newbie to solid shampoos; I've been using and loving Godiva for some time. (And I still utterly, utterly adore and cannot live without Godiva) But I decided to try this too, and I'm glad I did.
It does smell exotic and spicy, with a slight hint of the earthiness of henna and mud. I love the smell. LoveLoveLove it. It doesn't lather a whole lot, but it doesn't really need to; still cleans your hair beautifully. If you HAVE to have lots of lather, though, you probably wouldn't like this.
You'd have to use this with a conditioner. I used it with Jungle and a commercial liquid conditioner both, and both times when my hair dried it was bouncy and SHINYSHINY, though it was softer with Jungle. It still smells like spices and earthy goodness. I haven't seen any of the slight reddish tint other people mentioned. If it shows up, lovely, but if it doesn't this stuff is still solid gold. Really does add shine. Lots of it. Great stuff; I now alternate days with this and Godiva. I'll buy more when I run low.

I got this solid shampoo has a sample in an order and I really liked it. I have wavy hair and it made my hair really shiny and helped bring out the wavy curls in my hair. I actually really liked the scent- it smelled kinda like henna, but more an earthy, kinda pine-y fresh scent.

Alright...So I've been using this product for about a month now and I'm not sold on it's effectiveness as a solid shampoo. The smell is very middle eastern spicy which I kinda like but it's so drying to my hair. I have oily roots and dry bottoms and this just makes my hair stringy and dull. No shiny locks here! Once you use the bar once or twice it really becomes kind of muddy in texture. Very rough sand like bar that takes a good effort to get any type of lather formed on your head. I have not found any color changes to my hair (which is a very light brown/blonde). I don't believe I will re-purchase this product...will stick with Godiva and I Love Juicy instead.

This shampoo is the first solid shampoo ive used, and its ok. I would recommend getting a conditioner with it. I like my hair to come out silky, and this product adds shine and helps darken hair, but no moisture. Its great for those days when there is build-up or my mane is super oily.

I have very fine, long brunette hair. I have been searching for a shampoo that cleans thoroughly without stripping the hair but also adds volume that lasts. This shampoo fills the bill on all accounts. It leaves my hair soft, super-shiny, and full of body. The first time I used it, I immediately got a compliment from a friend on how nice I smelled. If you are of the hippy-dippy generation, you'll love the smell, too.

I never write online reviews - but this is the third I've posted for LUSH products in the last 10 minutes and I'm running out of superlatives. My thin, dry, color treated hair looks better than it ever has since using this - along with the solid conditioner. I've tried all kinds of expensive products and nothing has made my hair look as full and healthy as it does now. I love this!

This shampoo is one of the best lush products that i've used on my hair. I have dark brown thick wavy hair. I always get compliments on the health of my hair when I use reincarnate regularly. It makes hair shiny and soft. Another plus is that it enhances the color of my hair making it a richer brown. This shampoo is especially good for summer months because it really brings out any natural highlights in your dark hair. Its awesome for the price.

I recently discovered Reincarnate after using Lush Caca Henna dye for quite some time. I love the smell of the shampoo and my hair feels so healthy after my shower. The only thing is, when I rub the bar over my hair, the grainy texture snags on my hair, but that's something I'm willing to overlook to keep using this shampoo. Please don't stop making it!!

This shampoo has done wonders for my normally dry, frizzy curls. It's moisturizing and leaves my hair shiny and soft. I had no problem getting a lather either. The smell was off putting when I first opened the package but I cut the bar into smaller pieces for ease of use and that pretty much eliminated the smell. But I think my favorite thing about this shampoo is the coppery red tint my hair has developed since using it. Absolutely lovely.

I love this product! I've just now used it once and I can already feel and see the difference in my hair. I usually have very curly, thick hair (Resembling Taylor Swift, for lack of a better comparison) and it cut down on my frizz AND made my hair super soft, shiny, and added a subtle reddish tent.
I'm DEFINTELY buying more!

I was very excited to try this shampoo. I waited a little over a week to write a review. I've been alternating this and Big, and although my hair looks nice on Reincarnate days, Big days are much better. Reincarnate has an odd smell that isn't necessarily unpleasant, but I personally don't care for it. It also doesn't lather that well, but so long as my hair feels clean afterwards, that doesn't bother me too much. My hair is noticeably shinier after using this though, and looks healthier. Doesn't do much to add body, but makes it very soft. Decent shampoo, but probably won't buy again.

I have a really picky scalp and even shampoos that are supposed to moisturize can leave mine dry and itchy--I can't even use Godiva! However, I've been using Reincarnate for a few days now, and it's a life--or should I say scalp?--saver! My hair and scalp have felt great, and I haven't needed conditioner. I took the advice of another reviewer and cut it up into pieces, and I recommend doing that as well. Keeps the block from melting.

Reincarnate does smell like henna (not a favorite smell of mine), but it doesn't linger after your shower. I have noticed a hint of red in my hair (I have medium brown hair), and it looks very natural.

Reincarnate is the best shampoo I've ever tried, and I've tried them all -- high-end, low-end and everything in between. My formerly-damaged hair has never been healthier, and I only have to wash it once every 10 days. It's soft, shiny and glorious, and never gets greasy or dull. Combined with Lush's Caca Rouge Henna hair color and Retread conditioner, it's made my hair naturally beautiful. I get compliments daily on my gorgeous hair.

My hair is frizzy and wavy, with sections that are very curly. The individual strands are fine, but I have tons of it. It's also exceptionally dry. Reincarnate manages to calm it into waves without overdrying.

PLEASE for the love of all that is good in the world, MAKE MORE! This is the holy grail of hair products.

After reading the reviews, I ordered this shampoo to try on my dyed red hair. Anyone who has ever attempted to be a fake redhead knows the trouble of keeping the color from fading!

Many reviewers said this shampoo brought out reddish tones in their hair, but it did absolutely nothing for mine. I wasn't expecting a huge difference, but I was hoping for just a tweak.

My hairstylist told me any shampoos with sodium lauryl sulfate cause haircolor to fade faster, and unfortunately Reincarnate has it.

It is a unique, high quality shampoo, with a fruity/nutty/incense-y smell, so I imagine it would work very well on non-dyed hair.
