I have read reviews about Trichomania damaging people's hair but that might depend on how they use it. I think it does the opposite. I usually rub the shampoo into my hands to get a good lather and then rub the bubbles into my scalp and on all my hair. I think the damaging problem occurs because when you rub the bar directly onto hair it catches it, I have fine hair so i was worried about that happening but lathering it into my hands works just fine. it smells lovely and it doesnt make my hair soak up extra water so it dries faster. The only bad thing I can say is that it takes a little longer than regular shampoo.

I have extremely curly hair that seems to go a bit wild at times! When I tried this amazing shampoo it brought my curls to life and made them bounce! After i get out of the shower, I blow dry my hair with a diffuser and that makes my hair absolutely covered with curls. When I see my friends they always tell me how they want my hair and how amazing ti looks! Thnx LUSH!!!!!! :)

I love lathering up this bar in my hair and letting it sit a minute before rinsing. It smells so good and leaves my hair feeling soft. It is my first time using a hard shampoo and I don't plan on changing back anytime soon. It lasts a long time and will please your scalp and hair. It's heaven in a bar!

i was a little skeptical about this shampoo simply because it was more like a bar of soap than a shampoo...my first use changed my mind and my hair...i lathered this shampoo by rubbing it in my hands for a few seconds and then spreading allll over my hair from root to tip, i massaged it in for about two minutes and rinsed , i followed it up with american cream conditioner ( which smells beyond delicious), after getting out of the shower i let my hair AIR DRY which i never do because of my frizz, to my surprise my hair looked shiny and almost completely frizz-less

I have wavy hair that tends to curly when it is in a good mood and frizzy when it is too dry or too humid. I had previously purchased a jar of Curly Wurly, but I actually prefer to use the Trichomania. While I loved the smell of the Curly Wurly I found it difficult to use. It was difficult to dissolve in my hair and I ended up with pieces of coconut or product stuck in my hair or on the edge of the tub. I much prefer using Trichomania. It can be a bit difficult to lather, but I usually wet the bar and my hair and then just rub the bar over and under my hair. Then I scrub to work the shampoo it into my hair and scalp. This works great until the bar becomes very small....just like soap bars. :) I keep it in a travel soap container in my shower and it is ready to go when I need to pack it up to travel. I heard a rumour that they were discontinuing Trichomania....I hope it is only a rumour as not only is my hair in great shape, but so is my scalp.

This was my first solid shampoo and I'm happy to say it won't be my last! I am so impressed with this shampoo, I pair this with Retread for gorgeous hair. I have naturally curly hair which I chemically straighten and than on top of that I straighten it with a flat iron and blow dry it. Needless to say my hair is dry and needs loving! This shampoo does the trick! It smells nice, not too overpowering and leaves my hair soft and manageable and ALOT less frizzy! Thank you Lush!

Trichomania smells delicious, but it doesn't moisturize like I was hoping. I had high hopes it would work as a 2-in-1 product, but it still makes my thick, coarse, color-treated hair feel dry. When I've just washed with it, my hair is a tangled ball just like with any other shampoo. American Cream conditioner does the trick, and my hair is soft and silky when it dries, with no frizz. I LOVE AC conditioner, but will try Rehab next time. Can't use Curly Wurly because of the eggs, and hate buying plastic bottles, but it looks like there's no other choice. I'd recommend Trichomania to a friend with dry, curly but not color-treated or otherwise processed hair. My African-American friend with natural hair loves it, for example.

After using several lush hair products I decided to give this one try just because of how much I LOVED the smell. I purchased a sample at my local lush store and after getting it home and trying it I found that it didnt lather as well as my seanik , squeaky green, or I love juicy. As someone who has extremely oily hair it didn't work for me. I feel like this product would however work amazing on dry curly hair.

I used Curly Wurly in the past but was getting a little tired of plucking cocunut shards out of my drain, and I think the texture of that product roughed up the roots of my hair a bit. I asked the salesperson at my local store for a solid shampoo recommendation and she pointed me toward Trichomania. I really like this! It lathers easily so I can get it all over my sometimes-greasy scalp, and it has a lovely but not overwhelming scent. My hair is clean and soft without being dried out and it holds my curls nicely.

I use this in combination with the Jungle conditioner and King of the Mods styling gel. My head smells delicious.

Trichomania doesn't lather well, and if you rub the bar on your hair, it breaks a ton of it. It would be much better in puck form. This took all the shine out of my hair, made it dry and tangly, and it irritated my scalp so badly. Thank goodness for Jumping Juniper (which gave my shine back, soothed my scalp, and actually lathered).

Thank you LUSH for Trichomania! I have used some other LUSH solid shampoo bars, as well as Rehab, but the other solid shampoo bars dry out my already dry and damaged hair, and Rehab was just OK. Using Trichomania with Jungle conditioner made my hair really soft and clean feeling (finally!). Scent is really light, don't notice it in my hair after the shower. I have thin hair with damaged (split-end) ends, and I usually have to shampoo everyday because I get grease very easy too (ugh!). So although I have never found a shampoo/conditioner combo to stop my split ends, this has definately fixed the greasy, dry and frizzy problem!

The only reason I can't make this bar my daily shampoo is my complete addiction to Godiva. But Trichomania hits all the high notes; it smells terrific and the results are amazing. It lathers well in hard water, it leaves my hair healthy and soft, and the coconut smell is irresistable. My only regret is that I can't use 2 daily shampoos. :-)

I wandered into a Lush store on a whim, and the lady working there recommended this after I told her I was allergic to aloe, needed gluten-free hair products, was likely allergic to jojoba, and was having a terrible time finding a shampoo. The bar smells like whipped coconut, and though I need a bit more than the three strokes to get the lather into my thick, wavy hair, it does the job very nicely. The piece of bar I have does melt rather quickly in the shower, so I make sure to keep it dry by the sink, until I need it. After five days of using this, my mother commented how much softer my hair looked, and it's a lot less frizzy. Before, I couldn't run my fingers through the length without tangling. Now, I can get all the way from roots to ends that almost reach my waist. I'm sold, and will be buying this again, and again - PLEASE keep the formula just as it is. It's the first shampoo anything I've been able to use in a long, long time that doesn't make me itch.

I tried this stuff when my hair was growing out of a very short pixie cut. My hair is naturally curly but I went to the pixie to cut off all the hair that I had chemically straightened. Well this stuff made me love my curls. It helped shape them and give them great moisture. I love this stuff so much. My hair is currently an angled bob of sorts and it still works great.

I would recommend this to anyone with curly hair.I currently wash my hair everyday-i know as a curly hair gurrrl i shouldn't but eh- and it doesn't dry it out.

Sadly since I chemically straightened my hair for 3 years I have a sensitive scalp and this stuff minimizes the flakes that can happen. I would assume its because of the amazing conditioning element.

This is so good for curly,coarse or thick hair! i dont even use conditioner anymore cause my hair feels very soft after i use it! plus the sweet coconut smell is great! i like to cut a piece and lather it between my hands, then run my (sudsy) hands through my hair. + its pretty affordable for a big chunk<3

I have coloured my hair vibrant red multiple times, so I have always been worried about my shampoo and conditioner drying out my hair, even though i buy the color protectant line of most brands. This shampoo does not strip ANY of my colour. This shampoo does BOTH the jobs of a shampoo and conditioner. Once you use it for a week, you can really tell a difference in the feeling and sheen in your hair, I sure did. I have long hair, 3/4 of the way down my back and I don't even need that much product to cover all of it because it lathers really nice. It's more of a creamy lather, which is nice because you know it has a built-in conditioner. The smell stays in your hair after about a week, too! I cannot stop smelling my hair, and even using minimal product to keep my curls in place, I can still smell it. It also leaves a nice smell in my bathroom!

i tried out the curly wurly shampoo first because it was recommended and i have super curly hard to manage hair--was not so impressed. when i tried this stuff out it was everything i had hoped curly wurly would be--lathered well, smelled good, rinsed out easily. my hair is still drying, but even right now it feels smooth and happy--this stuff is awesome!

I love my hair and I am VERRY picky about what I put on it. For several months I've been trying to find an alternative for my regular shampoo, wanting to find one that will last longer than a month (I only wash my hair every 2-3 days because of my curls).

I've had a sample size of this shampoo for just about 2 weeks now, and I haven't even made a dent! By now, my regular shampoo would be 1/2 to 1/3 empty and I'd be slowly adding a bit of water to help make it last until I culd get more... but this is awesome!

Smells like summer and feels like a dream! Thank you, Lush!

I have to admit that I went into this doubting every review I read on here. How could a shampoo bar tame my crazy, curly, dry, frizzy locks? Well, Trichomania, you schooled me! I don't even really need to use a conditioner after using this bar, my hair is soft and less frizzy, and even my hair stylist commented that my curls look amazing. Consider me converted.
