The soap itself was nice, it cleaned well enough and I liked the scent. It was sweet like honey, which is what I would expect given the name and ingredients. It does have a strange imprint/coating on one end of the soap that is supposed to resemble honeycomb, but it never dissolved. I found it awkward to use to avoid that end and once the soap was getting smaller, that edge that stayed the same size began to scratch. I finally cut it off with a knife. Overall it was nice but not my favorite.

I, like some others, also received this as a sample. I was so excited because I love all the honey products LUSH has, but I can see why this was taken out and subsequently put into Retro. IMO, leave it out of everything. I get that it's a more 'authentic' honeycomb smell, but that's not always the most pleasant scent. Something about this soap made me cringe immediately, though I couldn't pinpoint the exact fragrance note that was throwing it off. I had to crack-up, though, after seeing so many people had received it as a sample, I, too, began to think, "is LUSH just trying to get rid of all of it?" haha!

I got this soap as a sample from lush and I used it once to wash my hand. The scent does linger, too bad I find the scent unapealing. It was absolutely disgusting and I was trying everything I could to get it off of me.

This product did melt in trasit so I would be careful if you actually like it.

I got this as a sample and i do not like it. To me it smells like black licorice which i cant stand the smell. will not use this product but thank you lush for sending me samples

wow. This product was a HUGE disapointment! I can honestly say that I have never had a lush product I disliked until now. I could not even use it because it actually made me sick as soon as I opened the box. I expected the smell to be more like honey I washed the kids but this is just awful. I cant even put into words how nasty this soap is.

lush gave me this as a sample, and i was excited about it because I thought it might smell like HIWTK. NOT AT ALL i do not recommend this at all. Still love you LUSH!

Long ago, I got a sample of this with an order and fell in love instantly. It's definitely not a Honey I Washed The Kids type of scent. It's a barely sweet, woody, herbal honey scent. If that sounds like your kind of thing, definitely give it a try.

I really don't understand the negative reviews as this is my all time favorite Lush soap. Unlike the cloying sweetness of some honey soaps, Honey Waffle has a spicy scent that nicely compliments the true honey smell of the soap. If you like spicy scents or real honey, try this soap. Also, put the (wrapped) soap in your linen closet and it will give your sheets the fabulous Honey Waffle scent.

It smelled like legit pee and I wish it was better because I love Lush! I got it as a sample and I think that they were just trying to get rid of it all because the people at Lush can't stand the smell either haha

I bought this soap because I love Honey I Washed the Kids. It had a weird flowery sort of smell I could not identify exactly. I took it to work to give away but NO ONE liked it. Some said flowery, some said licorice, but it was unpleasant to all. I would not take the risk. If you want honey smell, try the other I mentioned. That one had an awesome smell and is very creamy.

This is the very first Lush product I tried 15 years ago on a vacation in Vancouver and it is still one of my favorites. I even worked at Lush for a while so I've tried everything. I think some people just don't really like the sweeter smell of honey and that explains the negative reviews. Honey I washed the Kids to me, is not light and sweet enough. I like Honey Waffle sooo much more! Personally, I was so happy when they brought it back to Retro! Hooray! This and Flying Saucers keep me from going postal in my high stress work and home life. Now if only they would retro back the Summertime Blues bath bomb....My wishes would be fulfilled!

Ugh I couldn't recommend this for anything, it was so weird, I thought I would love the honey in this bar but boy does the other ingredients in this soap overpower it. Give those writers a raise because the desription is fantastic, and I love you guys, but after getting a full whiff of this in the shower made my bad day worse and for some reason I felt justified in taking it out on the soap and kicking it into the trashcan (touchdown :D)

I got this sample with my purchase of Rock Star Soap. I was amazed about how the smell came about.. I smelled it once and made a weird face trying to get that smell away from my face as quickly as I could. I wish I could have said it was a great smelling soap, but it honestly wasn't. I could smell a lil bit of the honey. But honestly, the rest smelled like urine to me. I'm so sadly to say, but this is one of my least favorite products. But thank you for the sample. to smell it and try it. I would not recommend this to anyone though.

I got this as a sample, and i can see why they sent it to me. obviously no one would want to buy it because it smells TERRIBLE. it doesnt smell like honey at all!! i hate it i hate it i hate it. if youre looking for a good honey scent, buy honey i washed the kids (duh!) or honey bee bath bomb. dont waste your money on this.

I hate this soap! }-p And I hate the Honey Beehave powder that smells the same. I bought both of these because I love anything honey scented. I agree with the previous reviewer, both of these smell like urine! I am over all the retro stuff. Realizing now that there was a reason these were pitched. YUCK!
