Vaccinium Macrocarpon Fruit (frische Cranberries)
Fresh and juicy cranberries are packed with antioxidants and help cleanse the skin.
Where do we get them?
Nearly all of our fresh fruit and vegetables are purchased from the same specialist distributor, whom Lush UK has been working with since 2005. Depending on the time of year, they source products from different countries to try and have availability all year round. They work hard to supply as much organic product as possible and provide the highest quality available the rest of the time.
With seven manufacturing sites across the globe, this information may vary depending on where your Lush products were made.
What are the benefits of fresh cranberries for your skin?
- They’re filled with reviving antioxidants, namely vitamins A and C.
- They have astringent and cleansing properties that refresh and mattify the skin.
The Vaccinium macrocarpon is a little evergreen shrub that grows in bogs and marshes in North America. Its little round fruits, called cranberries, ripen around September. Their harvest is facilitated by an unusual method consisting of flooding the fields so that the fruits rise and float on the surface.
