Caprylyl glycol is used in the manufacture of Styrene/Acrylates/Ammonium Methacrylate Copolymer as a preservative booster.
Used on its own, caprylyl glycol is renowned for its emollient and skin-conditioning properties, but it is also often combined with other preservatives (usually phenoxyethanol) as it has the ability to enhance their antimicrobial power.
