Fresh Orange Puree

Oranges have astringent, cleansing properties that help the skin and hair to glow.

The sweet orange is a flowering tree with glossy, evergreen leaves and thorny branches, and it is thought to be native to China and the Far East. The trees now grow all over the world. Their juicy, orange-coloured fruits are a type of berry called a hesperidium.

The benefits of oranges are thought to come from potassium, folic acid, and large amounts of vitamin C, which together with lutein helps to improve skin's elasticity. The fruits also condition the hair, leaving it tangle-free and full of shine by encouraging the cuticles to lie flat, reflecting more light.

Fruits purees are made in-house at Lush manufactures, by blending the whole fruits, straining the mix through a piece of muslin if necessary, and then incorporating it directly into the product blend.
