Cranberry Juice

Cranberries are trailing, evergreen shrubs that belong to the genus Vaccinium (family Ericaceae). They grow in bogs and marshes in North America, ripening around September. 

Some indigenous people of North America paid homage to the cranberry in their legends and used its preservative qualities to keep their food fresh during long hunting trips. In fact, cranberries were at the base of the first energy bar, 400 years before anyone knew what a ‘superfood’ was.
