Honey’s humectant properties soak up and transport the refreshing scent and benefits of fennel and lemongrass to the skin.
Where do we get it?
The clear honey found in the Lush products that are made in the UK comes from a supplier in Brazil. Bees’ welfare is at the heart of their practice and the communities see beekeeping as a communion with nature, a way to have better lives while helping to increase the bee population and land’s regeneration.
Nearly all of our fresh fruit and vegetables are purchased from the same specialist distributor, whom Lush UK has been working with since 2005. Depending on the time of year, they source products from different countries to try and have availability all year round. They work hard to supply as many organic products as possible and provide the highest quality available the rest of the time.
With seven manufacturing sites across the globe, this information may vary depending on where your Lush products were made.
What are the benefits of this lovely trio?
- Honey is a humectant, meaning that it attracts moisture from its surroundings and draws it into the skin. It is also antimicrobial and restorative.
- Fennel is great for soothing inflammation, cleansing and alleviating congested skin.
- Lemongrass is an invigorating tonic for the skin and mind.
Animal welfare
At Lush, we agree that the modern honey industry treats bees like farmed animals. To ensure their welfare is respected in our supply chain, we work with beekeepers who understand the importance of managing hives with consideration and of working in a minimally invasive way. We do not allow the use of harmful practices such as queen wing clipping or artificial rearing.
Where possible, we aim to work directly with beekeepers, but in any case, we ask for full traceability and adherence to our high standards. We actively encourage and select those who go beyond organic beekeeping and implement regenerative practices that positively impact local wildlife and the hives’ environment.
