Strawberries are a powerhouse of vitamins, minerals and natural fruit acids. They add a fruity scent to bath products and freshen and tone the skin.

Lush use the European species of wild strawberry (Fragaria vesca), which produces small, fragrant red berries. Strawberries are so delicate that they need to be hand-picked and used while they’re fresh. However, they can also be frozen, or freeze-dried and ground into a fine powder, which makes an excellent addition to solid or naked formulations.

Strawberries are a natural source of powerful antioxidants, which help to improve the skin’s elasticity. They contain more vitamin C, per weight than oranges, which helps to brighten and tone, along with both malic and citric acids, which gently cleanse and exfoliate.
