Avocado (Persea gratissima, syn. Persea americana) is the fruit of a subtropical tree, native to Mexico and South America. The tree is a member of the laurel family (Lauraceae) and there are approximately 500 varieties, which produce fruits ranging from small and egg-like to heavy, pear-shaped fruits.

This rich vegetable butter melts easily, making it a great addition to products designed to moisturise the skin or melt away in the bath. It also conditions and untangles the hair while adding strength and shine.

This butter is processed in Spain from the flesh of avocados grown in the Dominican Republic.
