Cleansing and exfoliating, salts are a stairway to softness heaven and give a volumising effect when applied to the hair.

Not all salt comes from the sea and this one is a good example: rock salt is mined from the earth in Himalayas and Pakistan. If you are familiar with the salt lamps you often see in health food and organic shop windows then you know what Himalayan salt looks like before it is ground and cleaned!

It is not so different from ordinary table salt, except for its beautiful streaked pink hues painted by natural minerals and metal elements like calcium, magnesium, potassium, copper, and iron.
