夏威夷紅海鹽

Also known as alea salt, this unrefined sea salt is mixed with an iron oxide-rich volcanic clay which gives it a distinctive red colour. A salt bath can help to relax the muscles, ease stiff joints and cleanse the skin.

Hawaiian coarse salt, known as ‘pa’aki’, was originally white in colour. However, it came to take on a brick red colour due to the volcanic red clay which lined the salt ponds and was absorbed during the natural evaporation process. It’s still produced in this way today and is used in the preparation of many traditional Hawaiian dishes.

Hawaiian red sea salt is a rich source of naturally occurring minerals, including iron and potassium. It’s often used in masks in scrubs as it helps to exfoliate the skin, leaving it refreshed and smooth.
