The pear, with its familiar and elegant shape, has a juicy, sweet and slightly grainy flesh that delights all the senses. Loaded with vitamins and alkaline elements, the fruit gently cleanses the skin while leaving a delicate and subtle perfume.

There are more than five thousand varieties of pears around the world. It is one of the rare fruits that is better when it is picked unripe because if it stays on the tree, it can develop very hard stony cells in its flesh, whereas its pulp will stay soft if it is harvested at the right time.
