Pushed to the slimiest.

What is this starch and what are its benefits?

Starch is a polysaccharide found in most plants as an energy source. It is the most important carbohydrate in humans’ and animals’ diets, as it is abundant in staple cereals such as wheat, corn and rice. Isolated, it looks like a white powder and is sometimes used in cosmetics to thicken formulas or for absorbency.

Sodium carboxymethyl starch is a modified type of starch, isolated from plants and then made even more effective in labs. It blends really well in liquids, makes formulas even more gelatinous and has a longer shelf life than classic starch.
