Lilium Asiatic ‘Brunello’

Fresh and colourful 'Brunello' lily petals have astringent properties that help tighten and mattify the skin.

Prized as ornamental plants, lilies are known more for their beautiful appearance and fragrance than for their culinary, medicinal and cosmetic uses. From the same family (Liliaceae) as onion, leek or garlic, lily bulbs and flowers have been cultivated and consumed for centuries in China, Korea, Japan and North America.

The 'Brunello' lily is one of the many lily hybrids. Each stem is covered with sharp leaves and grows several vibrant orange-red flowers in the summer. They arrive fresh at Lush's manufacturing sites, where the petals are finely chopped and squeezed into a juice which is then added to the product mix.
