Citral is a fragrance material with a strong, fresh scent of lemon peel.

Citral is widely found in the essential oils that Lush uses, such as bergamot, orange flower and roses, among others. Sometimes, it is also added in its synthetic form to give a fresh, lemony aroma to perfumes or to help develop and enhance the scent of rose.
