Galbanum resin has a very intense green fragrance.
So green in fact that when it began to be used in modern perfumery it started a whole trend in “green” perfumery. It is the greenest of the green scents.
Its initial note is a sharp and forceful but as it dries down it becomes greener, spicy and woody. It adds freshness to a blend with unique accent that is unmistakeable.
We get our resin from Iran and this is steam distilled in France to become galbanum oil.
