One of the many meadowfoam oil characteristics is to be very stable, carrying other ingredients, extending their shelf life and making perfumes last longer in products. Its feel and effects on the skin are often compared to jojoba oil, readily absorbed but very moisturising and emollient.

Meadowfoam are mainly found on the Pacific coast of North America. These low herbaceous plants don't need a lot of water to grow and produce numerous simple but beautiful white-and-yellow flowers, creating creamy coloured flower carpets in the summer. The oil is pressed from the seeds of the Limnanthes alba variety.
