This smoky-flavoured green tea is a rich source of powerful antioxidants which can help reduce oral bacteria, preventing tooth decay, gum disease and bad breath.

Gunpowder green tea is made from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant. Unlike other types of tea, the dried leaves are rolled into small, tight pellets which look a bit like old-fashioned gunpowder pellets. This method of preparation means that the leaves are less processed and retain more of their nutrients. The resulting tea is yellow in colour, with an earthy, slightly metallic taste. 

Green tea is believed to have numerous health benefits, mainly because it contains protective polyphenols, catechins and alkaloids, which can fight inflammation and boost immunity.
