Face food: Introducing jelly face masks

When it comes to face masks, jelly's probably not the first thing that jumps to mind...

Seaweed is known for its calming, hydrating qualities, and you’ll find it in bath bombs, shower jellies and hair care. But the time has come for seaweed to take centre stage in the form of five wibbly-wobbly masks that are filled with a lavish blend of moisturising carageenan extract, fresh fruit, and cleansing clays.

They’re loaded with a high concentration of natural ingredients, which means lots of fruit is suspended in a hydrating carrageenan base - giving the masks a satisfyingly squidgy texture. What’s more, their innovative self-preserving formula means that while each mask is packed full of fresh ingredients, they are also free from synthetic preservatives.

Each cooling mask is easy to use; simply scoop a piece into dry palms and blend until the jelly turns into a cream. Smooth onto your face, then leave the ingredients to sink in for up to 10 minutes. Finally, wash off with warm water or with a cloth to reveal wonderfully radiant skin. Now to choose one. Take it away Beyonce...

Are you ready for this jelly?

Channel your inner moonchild with a rich and calming smoothie of dried chamomile and marigold infusion. Bunny Moon is remarkably soft and hydrating as it contains 12% honey alongside its carrageenan base. You’ll unleash a sprinkle of golden dust when you pry open this face mask.

A face mask to launch a thousand ships; 1000 Millihelens is an alluring mix of antioxidant green tea powder and green tea infusion, alongside witch hazel, which helps to soothe and tone the skin. Aside from its sweet, crisp scent, apple juice works to rejuvenate, containing alpha hydroxy acid it leaves your skin looking lifted and glowing. You might want to grab a hot cup of green tea to add to your evening of detox.

A fruitful jelly with a slight scrub for those who like it just a bit rough; Just to Clarify is packed with an exotic fusion of fresh juices, like papaya, orange and grapefruit to refresh and brighten the skin. When using your hands to gently wash the mask away, you’ll start to feel the bamboo stem extract polishing the surface of your skin leaving it feeling super rejuvenated and clean.

Rule the planets (and your skin) with Birth of Venus; a silky, seaweedy face mask that helps to calm skin and gently tone with rose petal infusion.  Dive into this jelly to discover replenishing sea water and antiseptic olibanum; with a lavender and blue chamomile bewitching fragrance

And last, but by no means least, there’s FOMO. Don’t miss out on this pink, floral jelly that’s packed with soothing calamine and replenishing carrageenan. This mask is incredibly calming and features the luxurious rose and neroli fragrance of Skin Drink facial moisturiser.

If you’re off on an adventure, for business or pleasure, jelly face masks are ideal to keep your skin cleansed and hydrated. There’s no need to refrigerate jelly face masks, so you can simply pop them in your luggage as a travelling companion to use as you like (they also have a four month shelf life!)

These fruity tooty masks can add a touch of fun to your evening of pamper, so queue up your Netflix faves, pop your feet up and let the masks do their magic.
