Ingredient

Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate

Benefits

Synthetic

This gentle surfactant distributes a cleansing foam around the mouth and between the teeth, which helps to remove plaque and other debris.

Sodium methyl cocoyl taurate is a soft, white paste that’s derived from coconut. It’s made by reacting the amino acid taurine (a synthesised version) with a coconut fatty acid. The waxy paste is then ground into a powder.

As a surfactant, this powder allows oil and water to mix which helps to rinse away the bacteria that cause teeth decay. It’s also a good alternative to silicones, and it’s entirely palm-free.
