We get creative with trash. By using waste materials like post-consumer paper, plastic bottles, cotton t-shirt offcuts, or yogurt pots, we’re keeping waste out of the environment. Plant-based compostable packing peanuts

Open almost any Lush gift and you’ll be greeted by your products nestled in a sea of what looks like typical packing peanuts. But unlike plastic polystyrene, our peanuts are made from corn starch and are biodegradable and compostable. This natural lightweight material helps to cushion your products but uses less energy to produce and can be made with a small amount of starch and water. Reuse them for your next gift or put them in industrial compost or general waste. 

Recycled tags and inserts

Giving someone a box filled with naked bath bombs, bubble bars and soaps is sure to make anyone’s day, but they also need to know how to use them. Every gift contains a gift tag with a list of products and an insert with instructions.

We have gift tags and inserts that are made from 100 percent recycled paper. So when your recipient has gotten the hang of things, they can toss their paper instructions right in the recycling bin.
