Spicy and sweet-scented clove bud oil adds a warm note to perfume blends. Used on the skin and scalp, it has stimulating and soothing properties.

Cloves are the dried aromatic flower buds of the tropical evergreen clove tree, belonging to the myrtle family. The rose-colored buds are picked and dried for 48 hours in the sun, turning them into a rich brown color. 

The main constituent of clove bud essential oil is a spicy, aromatic substance called eugenol. Like most things spicy, it is reviving on the skin and scalp. Used in oral care products, eugenol freshens the breath and soothes the entire mouth.
