Cocoa absolute is one of the more difficult materials to blend and requires heating before use in products. We use the absolute in our fine fragrances and product perfumes, and for scrumptious chocolate flavor in lip balms.
Each cacao tree yields dark red or brown pods which in turn yield up to fifty seeds each. Cocoa absolute is extracted through solvent extraction. The absolute is very thick and dark brown, and it has a rich, chocolatey aroma.
