We use cloves to create warming perfume blends and for its stimulating effects on the skin. It can also be used to freshen breath in solid toothpaste, and we use it in our henna hair dyes for its scent and stimulating effect on the scalp.

Cloves are the dried aromatic flower buds of a tropical evergreen tree of the Myrtle family. The buds are dried for 48 hours in the sun so that they change color from rose to brown. The whole tree is highly aromatic although only the flower bud is sought commercially.
