Limeflower Decoction

Tilia europaea

The lime tree, also known as linden, is a member of the Tilia family. Unrelated to the citrus fruit it shares its name with, this tree produces heart-shaped leaves and clusters of tiny white flowers.

The delightful fragrance of these small flowers is great for attracting bees and other insects. 

What is a decoction?

Decoctions are made in-house at Lush by boiling raw materials in water until approximately half of the water has evaporated. This creates a concentrated liquid extract rich in benefits for the skin and hair.
