This uplifting soap is helping to bring a meaningful change of mindset and policy on dog welfare protection in Ireland.
Ireland has the shameful reputation of ‘Puppy Farm Capital of Europe’ due to the large number of legal and illegal puppy breeding ‘farms’. Every year an estimated 30,000 dogs are exported in an industry worth between €120 million and €200 million. On puppy farms the conditions are often inhumane, inadequate and neglectful. As a result, the puppies bred here are more likely to develop illnesses and have long-term health and behavioural issues.

75% of the sale price (minus tax) from this soap will be donated to Dog Advocacy Ireland to fund their work fighting for a properly resourced, independent animal welfare department and stricter legislation for puppy farms in Ireland.
Rachel from Dog Advocacy Ireland explains, “There is widespread animal cruelty in Ireland and we need both stronger legislation and significantly better enforcement of the current laws, beginning with simple reforms that would bring about long overdue and meaningful change."

Made with uplifting bergamot oil sourced from small-scale multi-generational (three) citrus farmers in Reggio Calabria, Southern Italy. We've partnered with the same family producer over decades (since 2005).
This product needs no packaging and no introduction. It will arrive naked and proud in your parcel because we want to strip back on unnecessary packaging.
Our proper soap is proper lovely and made the traditional way by saponification. We mix it by hand, adding in beautiful ingredients for their effects, pour it hot and let it cure before it takes pride of place by your sink.
