Reading about Tremella fuciformis is pretty gruesome but also sparks admiration for nature and its incredible creatures. Indeed, this fungus is parasitic, meaning that it needs a host, generally an innocent fungus that crosses its path and to which it attaches itself forever. From this tragic, slimy union arises a delicate, beautiful white frond known as the snow fungus.
