The vaccinium genus includes more than 450 species, including many little shrubs producing edible berries like cranberries and blueberries. The lingonberry is one of them, growing white bell flowers and scarlet berries. They are similar in colour and size to cranberries and have a very close bitter, tangy and sweet taste.

The berries are infused in-house in boiled water to obtain a red, sweet-smelling infusion.
