Where does Lush source guayusa leaves?

Lush UK* purchases guayusa leaves from an indigenous-owned community enterprise in the Ecuadorian Amazon. The enterprise is owned by 103 Kichwa families in the Orellana province. Together, they have combined their long-standing cultural relationship with guayusa with their community pride to create a business that improves livelihoods and conserves the Amazon rainforest.

How do we make an infusion?

Lush makes infusions in-house by soaking ingredients in hot water. Just like when steeping tea leaves in a tea bag, guayuse leaves are gathered in a fine cloth and left for s short while to infuse hot water with their benefits.
