Sourced from a salt pan in Portugal which borders a biodiversity-rich wetland. Our supplier's work helps to promote the abundant bird life and migratory paths in the thousands of hectares of wetland ecosystem. Managed correctly, salt pans can help migrating birds find a place to rest, in amongst over-developed human ‘civilisation’.
