Sodium lauroyl sarcosinate is an ionic surfactant. It maintains water and oil together in formulas and creates a thick, deeply cleansing foam.
Surfactants are organic compounds with a hydrophobic tail and a hydrophilic head. This means they attract oil and water, helping ingredients to blend together, and sebum and dirt to be attracted from the skin and washed off with water.
