A well-known carrier oil in aromatherapy, almond oil helps transport essential oils and other extracts to the skin and hair. A natural emulsifier, it also helps mix oil-based and water-based ingredients together. Moreover, the oil’s neutral scent and colour don’t interfere with the other ingredients. You may argue that almonds are very scented and in fact, its oil is often found in perfumes… But this is a different kind of oil, the essential oil, made from another type of seeds!
