Moon Water

We know, we know. Only us.

We’re Lush. We’re English. We’re quirky. We like reading folk tales and hearing about the benefits of a forgotten plant. We love the moon… Who doesn’t, anyway? So, when Michelle, product inventor, hears about harnessing the power of the moon in water, she thinks “interesting” and then, of course, “let’s make soap”. She talks about it with compounders, the people who make our products by hand, and they reply, “Such a great idea, I love the moon, let’s do this”.

Because hey, you get it, we’re Lush. From head to toe, from manufacturing to shop floors, we wander off the beaten tracks.

How is moon water made at Lush?

We leave water in a vessel outside our premises overnight, under the moon, covered with a clear sheet to prevent any contamination. Due to our production needs, we unfortunately can’t focus on one specific phase of the moon; however, the intention is always to have a good soap!
