World Bath Bomb Day 2025

For World Bath Bomb Day, we're inviting you to join the celebrations in store.

On 27th April 1989 (before Lush was founded), we were awarded the trademark for the first bath bomb, after Lush Co-founder Mo Constantine invented it in her garden shed. Now, that date is officially known as World Bath Bomb Day, and this year, as we celebrate 30 years of Lush, we’re launching 30 brand new bath bombs.

Bathe like it’s 1995!

If you buy one of the new World Bath Bomb Day bath bombs on 26th or 27th April 2025 in any of our UK and Ireland shops, you can get Butterball — one of Lush’s original bath bombs — for 95p* … the price it was first sold for in 1995 when Lush was founded.

Fancy getting hands-on with a bath bomb making session? In the majority of our UK and Ireland shops, join us on 26th and 27th April to make your very own Luna’s Butterfly* bath bomb, one of the 30 brand new bath bombs.

When little Lushie, Luna — daughter of Julius, Lush product inventor — asked dad for a rainbow butterfly bath bomb, he quickly got to work. This bubblegum-scented butterfly leaves a swath of gentle pastel colours as it fizzes through the tub, adding some fluttering fun to any bathtime.

For more details of the bath bomb making events, contact your local shop or head to our Eventbrite page.
