LUSH FEST presents: Winter Garden Print Party x Blue Room | Liverpool

Join artists from Blue Room, the Bluecoat’s inclusive arts project as they celebrate the launch of their latest LUSH collaboration; the ‘Tis the Season gift collection. Meet the artists behind the design and add your mark to a large-scale collaborative artwork inspired by a frosty winter garden. Explore the sensory delights of ‘re-leaf’ printmaking; using aromatic botanicals to create your own printed gift-tag and greetings card. In the heart of the bustling city of Liverpool is a place of boundary-pushing creativity. The Bluecoat is the first arts centre in the UK, a working home for artists for almost 100 years. A key part of the Bluecoat’s story for the past few decades has been the development of Blue Room, an inclusive arts programme supporting learning disabled and neurodivergent artists. Since 2008, Blue Room artists have been meeting at the Bluecoat to explore the galleries, and develop and share their own work. The project aims to break down barriers and shine a light on the talent and creativity of Blue Room artists. Being a part of Blue Room is often transformative for its members, with many being empowered to develop their own creative practice, alongside making life-long friendships. With their studio right in the heart of Liverpool’s main shopping district, Blue Room are nextdoor neighbours to the flagship Lush Spa Liverpool, where they have held several ‘store takeovers’ to launch their artist collaborations since 2023.
