Angelica Root Oil

This musky, sweet-smelling oil is prized for its purifying properties. Used in dental care products, it sweeps away bacteria and freshens breath.

Angelica is a biennial or perennial herb which grows up to two metres in height. It has large, bright green leaves and clusters of fragrant, yellow-green flowers.

The plant can be used from top to bottom. While the stems are usually candied, the seeds make a good flavouring agent in several alcoholic drinks and the leaves can be made into a tea or used to flavour food.

Fresh or dried chopped angelica roots are steam distilled to produce aromatic angelica root oil, which has been used for centuries as an anti-fungal and antibacterial remedy.
