Rubus Chamaemorus Seed Oil (Cloudberry Seed Oil)

Rubus chamaemorus

Benefits

Natural

Say goodbye to stormy skin and hello to a cloud nine complexion.

Cloudberry may sound like a fruity imagining in a cartoon picnic, but this not-so-stratospheric fruit is rich in Vitamin C for soothing natural radiance.

What are cloudberries?

The mythical-sounding cloudberry (Rubus chamaemorus) is related to the more common raspberry and bramble. The fruit grows in cool Northern polar regions, including across Scandinavia, Northern Britain, and Canada. The small, amber-coloured berries resemble their namesake: fluffy, picture-perfect clouds.

Appreciation of cloudberries for their high Vitamin C content is nothing new. The Vikings took this golden berry on their voyages to prevent scurvy, thanks to the seemingly miraculous effect ingesting the berries had on patients suffering from the condition. Of course, they wouldn’t have known that Vitamin C was the reason for this useful application, but we do!

What are the benefits of cloudberry seed oil?

  • Glowy skin
  • Soothing
  • Softening

Cloudberries are incredibly rich in Vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant that is useful for helping your skin to protect itself against the ageing effects of free radicals. Vitamin C helps to rejuvenate dull and tired-looking skin, encouraging a natural glow. The hydrating oil produced by the seeds of this fruit leaves the skin feeling soft and smooth.
