Ingredient

Hydroxy Propyl Methyl Cellulose

Benefits

Synthetic

Hydroxy propyl methyl cellulose is a semi-synthetic which thickens when heated. Semi-synthesis, also know as partial synthesis, is a chemical process that begins with a natural source such as plant material.

A derivative of wood pulp, hydroxy propyl methyl cellulose acts as a useful binding agent, keeping products stable and can be dissolved in water to create a solution. It is used to make biodegradable decorations found in many Lush products and is also used to help wash cards hold their shape.
