Red Henna Infusion

Ingredient

Red Henna Infusion

Lawsonia inermis

Benefits

Natural

To create this infusion, dried henna leaves are soaked in hot water - a steaming attempt to harness some of their great benefits for the hair.

Where do we get it?

Lush purchases red henna in Iran, through a German company, and despite the political turmoil of recent decades that has made it difficult to trade at times. Our supplier, who mills henna leaves collected from farmers of the Sistan and Baluchestan Province, is dedicated to providing unadulterated henna of the best quality, which gives vibrant red hues to the hair (not orange as can also be found). This is thanks to the iron-rich soil where the plants grow.

What are the benefits of red henna infusion for your hair?

  • protects and conditions
  • gives shine
  • helps limit dandruff and refreshes the scalp

Can henna infusion dye the hair?

To properly colour the hair, henna should be heated and mixed with water, then kept warm on the hair for a few hours with a cloth or towel. Applied cold and rinsed off after twenty minutes, our red henna infusion doesn't leave this dyeing effect. It is intended to give shine and eventually highlight the natural hues of the hair.
