Hinoki Oil

Hinoki oil comes from the wood of the hinoki cypress, a tree native to Japan. It is an aromatic oil which contains several compounds that make it highly valued in perfumery and cosmetics. 

Hinoki, or Chamaecyparis obtusa, is a member of the cypress tree family. The large trees have a reddish-brown bark and are known for high-quality wood, as well as being popular as a decorative tree in gardens. Hinoki cypress can live for hundreds of years.
