Lemon Oil (Citrus Limon)

Lemon oil is known for deeply cleansing and leaving skin and hair looking brighter. This oil contains alpha-hydroxy-acids, or AHAs, that help to break down and exfoliate dead skin cells, revealing the fresh new skin underneath.  

Belonging to the Rutaceae family, the lemon tree is a small, evergreen plant that produces highly fragrant blossoms, shiny leaves and bright yellow, oval-shaped fruit. 

The natural fruit acids in the oil encourage the cuticle of the hair to lie flat, reflecting more light and in turn enhancing the shininess of the hair. Lemon oil is also frequently used as a top note in perfumery, adding a refreshing quality to fragrances to directly delight your synapses.
