Lime Tree Flower Infusion

Tilia europaea

Limeflower is thought to have a calming and soothing effect on body and mind. This fragrant flower has a strong, sweet aroma reminiscent of warm summer days. 

The lime tree, also known as Linden, is a member of the Tilia family. Unrelated to the citrus fruit it shares its name with, this tree produces heart-shaped leaves and clusters of tiny white flowers. The delightful fragrance of these small flowers is great for attracting bees and other insects. 

What is an infusion?

Infusions are prepared at Lush manufacturing sites by wrapping ingredients in a piece of fine cloth and then soaking them in hot water, leaving them to infuse.
