Marigold Powder

Calendula officinalis

For centuries, marigold's effects were well documented by herbalists to help soothe irritated skin. Today, we use the petals to soothe and calm troubled skin; it's also mild enough for sensitive types.

Marigold petals are orange, daisy-like flowers that grow from an ornamental plant called calendula officinalis. Saint Hildegard von Bingen is credited with naming it "marigold" in honor of the Virgin Mary, a portmanteau of Mary's gold.
