Organic Cold Pressed Evening Primrose Oil (Oenothera biennis)

We use evening primrose oil to soothe skin and to prevent it from drying out. The oil leaves skin with a lovely, healthy glow.

The oil is extracted from seeds of the evening primrose plant, a relative of willow herbs and not primroses. After its lemon yellow flowers blossom for a day or two, the head is replaced by an oblong hairy pod that contains the seeds. These seeds are then cold-pressed to extract the oil, which is less damaging than using heat.
