Co-Create is a product creation programme for Lush staff, aiming to promote diversity, inclusion, equity and belonging by lifting up authentic stories from respective communities. Co-creator Ana Oviedo from Lush Leeds shares her inspiration for this Día De Muertos product.

“Xolo dogs are seen as the guides to the underworld, Mictlán, and their name comes from Mexican mythology. Usually, the ‘deity’ of death, Mictlantecuhtli, is portrayed next to his Xolo dogs. It is important to remember that death in pre-Hispanic culture was not seen as something bad but as a process of transformation.”
