Two charming flowers, well-known to herbalists, infuse the water with their soothing properties.

Calendula officinalis (pot marigold or common marigold) is a hardy plant native to Central Europe and the Mediterranean. The beautiful, orange, daisy-like flower is cultivated across the globe for ornaments, to be used as an orange pigment and for its numerous effects on skin and health. The petals have antibacterial and soothing properties and are full of powerful antioxidants such as saponins, flavonoids and carotenoids.

Eyebright flowers are so small you could easily walk past them without noticing their delicate beauty. According to Alan Hopking, a medical herbalist Lush has been working with in the 1980s, ‘Eyebright suggests even by its name that it can be of help in eye complaints. [...] The whole herb is used. Compresses with a decoction of eyebright will give surprisingly rapid relief of redness and swelling.’
